Penryn poo patrol hits streets

Dog wardens will be out on the streets of Penryn this month patrolling for people who let their animals mess on the pavement.

The wardens, from Cornwall Council, will be working with Penryn’s PCSO Lewis Vague to catch the perpetrators in the act. They can then issue on-the-spot fines or collect evidence for a later prosecution.

Town clerk Michelle Davey said she hoped the patrols would “be the first of many, to keep the pressure on.”

Can they do Falmouth next? And then can we have a crew to clean up the mess?

About time too. Walking down through West Street towards the town is like c.r.a.p alley.

And can people who go to the trouble of actually picking up after their dogs go the full distance and take it home with them and not dump the poo filled bag on the side of the road (like a saw a woman doing last week) - This is just as bad as not picking it up in the first place - Simply disgusting.

I would volunteer to be a Falmouth warden.
I believe in pre-emptive action, so I would just stand outside the houses of known dog owners and say, "No, you are not leaving the property until your dog has done one in your garden first."
