Dog wardens will be out on the streets of Penryn this month patrolling for people who let their animals mess on the pavement.
The wardens, from Cornwall Council, will be working with Penryn’s PCSO Lewis Vague to catch the perpetrators in the act. They can then issue on-the-spot fines or collect evidence for a later prosecution.
Town clerk Michelle Davey said she hoped the patrols would “be the first of many, to keep the pressure on.”
