Plans which would see one of Falmouth’s oldest buildings converted from one house to two have been supported by the town’s planning committee.
Councillors did have concerns over the proposals for 2 Arwenack Avenue, however their fears have been allayed following a meeting with the case officer.
The plans would also include the creation of a three storey replacement extension Committee chairman, Diana Merrett said: “This will bring it back into being. We are taking extreme care with this because it is one of the oldest buildings we have got.
“We have gone through it with a fine-tooth comb.”
