Cadets from Camborne, Redruth, Hayle and Penryn came out in force to brave the cold weather and hand out much needed hydration at the 37th Duchy Marathon recently.
The marathon, which featured around 350 runners, was held last weekend and organisers delivered training at the Camborne Detachment beforehand to make sure that everyone was fully briefed on how to look after the runners.
Captain Demelza Stevenson, training officer for Gibraltar Company, said: "I am so proud of the cadets for supporting the local community like this, the Army Cadets is staffed by volunteers so it is great that the cadets themselves can give something back too."
Cornwall Army Cadets is always on the look out for community projects that they can support and any Packet readers who needs a few extra hands can contact Captain Stevenson on gibraltartrainingofficer@gmail.com
