Concern for mystery barefoot trouserless man seen in Stithians

UPDATE: 8.15am, Tuesday March 12 - The man has not yet been traced

---

The police have appealed for help from the public to try and locate a man seen in the Stithans area earlier today, Monday, March 11.

Officers do not know the identity of the man who was seen at various locations in the village in the early hours of today.

He was last seen in the village shop on Crellow Lane at around 8am hours this morning.

The man is described as being in his early 20s, around 5ft 6in tall, and of slim build.

He was dressed in a black baggy jumper but was not wearing any shoes. When he was first seen, the man was wearing dirty, cream-coloured trousers, but these were later discarded.

Officers are anxious to trace and identify the man as they are concerned about his welfare in the current cold weather. It is believed that the man may have been sleeping rough in local outbuildings.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting log number 0118 of 110313. Members of the public are asked not to approach the man directly.
