Falmouth police rural theft warning

Falmouth police are warning people to be on their guard after the theft of horse equipment from fields.

Officers say they have received two calls about the theft of horse equipment in rural areas recently.

On one occasion hay, straw, feeding nets and a wheelbarrow were stolen and on another a 3ft galvanised trough was taken.

Officer want to remind people to mark any equestrian property with identifying marks and where possible photograph equipment.

Adding: "Even a postcode in permanent marker will be useful at deterring would be thieves and assisting the police when returning any goods recovered."
