High winds over the past two days have exposed Falmouth's Swanpool Beach to a relentless battering that has left the road covered in sand and debris.

Storm waves pounded the coast on Sunday and Monday, leaving drivers to tackle a slalom of pebbles, driftwood and banks of sand this morning.

The dramatic ocean has been admired by many passersby, but with waves cresting the sea wall and crashing into passing cars spectators are reminded to take care and view the scene from a safe distance.

The Packet should take a look at the sea wall at castle beach, bits of it have fallen down and some big boulders are still loose.
