Falmouth town centre taxi office gets green light

Plans to convert a shop in Falmouth’s town centre into a taxi office and waiting room have been given approval. Tom Arrington, of Abacus Taxis, made the application in relation to For You, next to Tesco in Killigrew Street.

Cornwall Council’s case officer, Jacquie Byatt said: “The provision of this small taxi cab office is not considered to adversely impact on the vitality and viability of the town centre and would provide an additional facility associated with the choice of transport mode to/from the centre.”
