Five day music festival for Newquay this summer

A music festival will be "returning home to Cornwall", with four days of fun planned for the town this June.

Beach Break Live says it is re-inventing the idea of a festival and "taking Beach Break Live home while we’re at it – back to the Cornish tropics".

The festival organisers say they will transform Newquay into a "beach town fiesta like nothing before".

The event has been held in Wales for the past three years.

Billed as "mischief and mayhem that happen year on year, the festival will "take over the streets, beaches, venues and rooftops of Newquay"

A spokesman said: "we’ve wanted to move home to Cornwall for some time, but to make our dream event a reality we needed the stars to align and a number of special things to happen… Specifically, we needed to be able to put the first ever Main Stage on Fistral Beach and the chance to totally take over Newquay while we were at it."

The festival will have, "a multitude of classic clubs, secret sets in greasy spoons, breaking bands in y’olde pubs, hidden rooftop raves, beach discos, boat parties and pool parties."

Also planned are a harbour side film festival, street art, circus, comedy, cider n ale festivals, exclusive after parties, pasty parties, theatre, extreme sports competitions, beach sports, 24 hour music, workshops and a kebab shop laser show.
