The Rotary Club of Falmouth was out in town last week signing up businesses for the newly formed Dementia Action Alliance.
Even before the alliance’s official launch in May, 15 businesses and organisations have already committed to taking action and trying to improve the lives of people, and their families, who must live with dementia.
Bob Bridges, from the alliance, said the campaign would help make Falmouth one of the first dementia-friendly towns in the UK.
“No cost is involved,” he said. “Signing up to the Falmouth Action Alliance will not only be good for business but it will help those who are affected by the disease to remain comfortable in our community.”
The launch of the scheme will be at the Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum, on Events Square, on Wednesday, May 22, from 10am to 4pm.
