A group of women from Porthleven have raised £500 towards the port’s lights displays.
Porthleven Women’s Institute has been holding stalls every Wednesday on the harbour front for a few weeks, selling books, cakes and other small products.
One of the members, Mrs Ziemann, said: “Anyone who could spare the time out of the ladies helped.”
The money was presented to Porthleven Lights Committee chairman Peter Ward and committee member Peter Collins at a meeting of the WI last week.
Mrs Ziemann said the group decided to support the lights committee because its work benefited everyone, despite age and ability.
The women also believe the lights offer the area more accessibility to tourists and visitors.
