Trereife House will be hosting its Fifth Easter Bank Holiday Food and Craft Fair from Friday, April 29 to Monday, April 1

The historic Queen Anne manor house and its spectacular grounds will welcome a series of cookery demonstrations, craft demonstrations and a plenty of entertainment.

This year's event will see an increased number of retailers and producers from the Newlyn Cheese and Charcuterie, deli and home delivery fish sales from ‘Stevenson’s Home delivery’, to locally produced beer, cider and wine.

There will also be a wide selection of high quality art and craft from Cornish designer-makers.

One of the main attractions will be the return of the food demonstrations by well known local chefs such as Craig Small, head chef of the Abbey Hotel’s newly re opened ‘Slipway’ restaurant in Penzance and Jamie Maclean of Mackerel Sky.

The Friday will see Jamie Gaspare and her chefs from Penwith College running an adrenalin fuelled ‘Ready Steady Cook’ competition.

“The aim of these demonstrations”, says event coordinator, Rob Lewis, “is to promote locally sourced and sustainably produced ingredients, showing that Cornish is best.”

At the top of every younger visitor’s list will be taking part in Trereife’s Grand Easter Egg Hunt, set within the woods and around the walled garden.

As well as the egg hunt, youngsters can have a go in the Funky Food Workshop, run by the pastry chefs from Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant.

On top of this there will be a full programme of live music, including performances by Cajun Country band Blue Horyzon and a series of craft demonstrations.

Admission for adults is £3.50, children £2 and under 5s free of charge. Family tickets are £11 (two adults and three children).
