Body discovered in shed near Helston's Coronation Lake after fire

Police and firefighters at Coronation Lake on Saturday morning, after a fire took place in the woodland behind
A body has been found in a burnt out shed near Helston's Coronation Lake.
At 10.40pm last night police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel were called to a fire in woodland behind the lake, where there are two abandoned sheds.
When the fire was put out a body was found in the shed.
The police and fire service is currently conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
Police tape surrounds half of the lake this morning.
Eyewitnesses said they saw an orange glow in the area of woods near to an old water wheel, just behind the lake, together with more blue flashing lights than they had ever seen before.
At least two fire engines, an ambulance and more than five police cars could be seen next to the lake.
This morning a lone police car remains at the scene, with an officer carrying out an investigation alongside crewmembers from Helston Fire Station.

There is a homelessness issue in Helston that I feel should be addressed. There was one man regularly sleeping in his car in the fairground car-park at one time, he told me he was homeless and his old car failed to start one morning so I used my jump leads that I carry in my car to start his car. He appeared very cold. It seems to me the homelessness issue in Helston is not recognised and addressed in the same way as it is in other towns.

Maybe this sad and terrible event will bring the issue forward amd more provision will be forthcoming.

On the point that people seem concerned about however, perhaps they would like to offer a room to these homeless guys that they have seen? It's all ''very sad'' to hear but I'll bet no-one is prepared to shelter them in their houses?

I'm not sure we can speculate who's the body was at this stage though?

I know it is not always up to the council or government to do everything and money is not readily available, that is why I have always tried to be as independent as possible and to fight for what I believe in and not sit back and expect everyone else to do everything.

(Unlike my building a bridge out of some dumped old car tyres in a car-park idea, to go across a huge ditch so that I could drive over it to get out of a car-park a different way, because someone had parked blocking me in from behind) It worked though.
For anyone who does consider taking in a homeless person, I was just pointing out that it is not always as simple as it may seem at first, I didn't really think that far ahead when I did it, but not one to quit easily having done it,I was determined to see it through. Like I previously said, I would actually do it again if I was in a position to because I gained valuable experience from it. I considered it a two way deal.

ay,st.petrocs IS a good charity,unlike another christian outfit,which only prays for gods guidance,and don't help-despite having the fiscal and accom. to do so except if they get divine approval-i ran a homeless guest house some years back and the upset/distress it caused the patrons was shocking-the problem is statute based,if anyone is not expecting(i loathe and abhorr the term pregnant)or has young kids,then tough-here endeth my take on war and peace.....
