The Truro Tesco superstore will close for five days for a refurbishment from this Saturday.

The supermarket on Garras Wharf will close at 7pm on Saturday, April 6 and will re-open at 8am on Friday, April 12, to allow the finishing touches on what the company says will an improved store.

During the closure the pharmacy will be open for prescriptions only.

Following the refurbishment, the store will benefit from a new pizza counter, Click & Collect service, Costa Coffee, Rowe’s Pasty counter and will introduce scan as you shop. There will also be a new look to the deli, meat and fish counter, fruit and veg department, bakery, clothing, phone shop, and pharmacy.

Store Manager Stuart Bourn said: “It is really important to us that we keep disruption to a minimum during this short closure. Our main priority is keeping our customers happy and we have listened to all feedback ahead of making these major improvements.

“My team and I would like to thank our customers in advance for their patience whilst we improve their store.”
