A road smash near Boslowick Garage in Falmouth closed the road this morning.
The accident took place around 9.30am when a blue Ford Escort and delivery lorry crashed at the junction of Boslowick and Shelburne Roads.
Eyewitnesses report hearing a sound like "half a tonne of gravel" falling "from a great height".
The 64-year-old driver of the Ford, which sustained the majority of the damage, had been taken to hospital with chest pains at the last report.
