Dirty burglar in Redruth leaves smelly surprise

A burglar caught short on a Redruth industrial estate left police to find a nasty surprise.

The thief stole a cement mixer from Darrock and Brown restoration specialists at United Downs Industrial Estate on Sunday, March 17.

“But then the thief had the cheek to chop off the lock to the portaloo, do a poo in it and not flush,” said DC Rick Milburn from Falmouth Police Station, “Just to add insult to injury.”

Anyone with any information on the dirty burglary can contact the police on 101 ref GP/13/535.

Being a consulting detective, I would entertain the notion that the burglar may have carried with them a prepared poo from a random stranger discovered from public toilets and dropped it in the portaloo in order to create a false trail of evidence.
