A canoeist had to be rescued from rough seas on the Lizard after struggling with the "challenging conditions"
The inshore lifeboat from Penlee was called out on the shout at lunchtime yesterday after the canoeist became cut off by the tide amid strong currents and heavy seas at Mullion Cove.
The RNLI crew were back in action just hours later after a fast rising swell left two surfers who lost their boards struggling at Porthleven.
The two surfers managed to make it back to dry land before the crew arrived.
