Drivers faced a problem finding fuel yesterday as pumps ran dry in Falmouth and Penryn.

The Asda fuel station and the Dracaena Road petrol station are both closed for a week, and the other fuel stations in town struggled to supply demand.

By 6pm the Boslowick station was close to empty, with no fuel left this morning. A delivery of both diesel and petrol are due this afternoon.

Falmouth Garages in Penryn was also close to empty, however a late night delivery means that both diesel and petrol are now available.

The only station with fuel available by 7pm on Tuesday evening was the Four Cross petrol station at Treluswell.
