A homeless centre in Camborne is planning to set up a regular music group for clients and is on the look-out for unwanted percussion instruments.

Coastline Housing's homeless service, based at Basset Road in the town, runs a range of activities and courses to help enrich the lives of clients who need the help of the service.

Tamsyn Pegler, client and volunteer involvement worker, said: “A love of music is something that can unite people no matter what their situation in life. Many of our clients are keen to give it a go, but we've a distinct lack of instruments to get us started.”

The centre is also looking to start a garden project encouraging clients to improve overgrown areas and start growing their own vegetables, so would also be very keen to accept donations of any non-electrical gardening equipment such as spades, rakes and forks.

Anyone wishing to donate unwanted instruments or gardening equipment can drop items into the Coastline Day Centre at 11 Basset Road which is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
