Helston Bowling Club is holding an open day this Sunday to encourage more people to try out the sport.
President's Day will take place from 2pm, come rain or shine, at the club behind the Gryll's Monument in Coinagehall Street.
People will be able to have a go at bowling as part of the event sponsored by Simon and Kim Stone of the Blue Anchor pub.
Those taking part should wear a pair of flat soled shoes.
Refreshments including tea, coffee and “something stronger” will be available throughout the afternoon.
Hot pork, beef and turkey rolls with all the trimmings will then be on sale from 3pm.
For more information call Terry on 01326 565144.
The club was founded in 1760 and is one of the oldest clubs in the country.
It has more than 60 members, who can often be seen in their whites playing a game on a sunny day.
