Clients old and new turned out to support a Falmouth beauty salon when it staged a charity event to mark its re-launch.
Ultimate Beauty, based on the Tregoniggie Industrial Estate, invited people to make donations to the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity in exchange for eyebrow waxes, spray tans and massage taster sessions. These brought in £87.47.
A raffle was also held which boasted a great range of prizes and raised a further £209.10. Lending their support to the day was Kay Kitto and her guide dog, Fergus.
The owner of Ultimate Beauty, Christina Grant, decided to generate some publicity and good will by staging the re-launch day, which also introduced people to the new training school based at the salon.
“It was an absolutely brilliant day,” she said. “It really did go well.”
