A software business that was conceived in Helston has returned to its home town with the opening of new offices.

Negys Ltd is now based in Coinagehall Street, above Barclay’s Bank.

Founded in 2010 by Wendy Radford-Gaby, wife of Helston mayor Jonathan Radford-Gaby – who is commercial director of the business – for the first few years the digital agency has been based at the Pool Innovation Centre.

Negys – which means ‘business’ in Cornwall – specialises in online booking and management software for places that provide accommodation, such as hotels and guest houses.

Its system Anytime Booking is being used by businesses all around the UK and as far as Sri Lanka since its launch 18 months ago.

The company also builds websites from scratch.

Wendy, who is also managing director, said: “We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved in a relatively short period of time; our expansion and move from the Pool Innovation Centre to the heart of Helston ahead of schedule is a fantastic step for Negys.

“We love Helston and it’s great to be finally based here in our home town.”

Also part of the team are technical director Philip Radford – Wendy’s brother – and project manager Bethany Taylor, who joined just before Christmas.

They celebrated at the launch of the new offices last Friday with family and friends, with a cake made by Emma Harrison of The Owl Bakery (formally Cherry on Top) marking the occasion.

Wendy thanked all the friends and supporters who had followed the team’s journey over the past three years.
