Helston Flora Horse Show is hoping for fair weather this Monday after rain forced the cancellation of last year’s event.

The annual show will take place on Bank Holiday Monday (May 6), with judging beginning at 9am.

It is taking place at Nansloe, by kind permission of FH Benney & Son, with the entrance off Meneage Road clearly signposted.

The show features classes for light horses, ponies, mountain and moorland, cobs, colour, working hunter horses and ponies.

Cups will be given out for the light horse championship and supreme championship. A gymkhana will begin at 2pm, with musical sacks, a sack race, potato race, and orange and icing sugar race.

There will be a parade of the Cury foxhounds at approximately 1pm.
