A man was airlifted to hospital from Helston this morning after “falling from a ladder” while working on a house.
He was found at 10.48am by a delivery driver lying in front of the doorway of a house in Manor Way, on the Gwealdues Estate, near to a ladder that was perched on the flat roof of the porch.
A spokesman for Cornwall Air Ambulance said the man in his 40s had suffered injuries to his arm and leg as a result of the fall of around 8ft.
He remained semi conscious and was treated at the scene by ambulance staff before being taken to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital by air ambulance, which landed on a central green nearby.
