Comedian Rory McGrath has been cautioned for assault over an incident in Pool in May.
Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed a 57-year-old man from the Cambridgeshire area was cautioned over three offences of assault by beating.
Police were called to reports that a man had assaulted another man and a woman at a property in Pool
Mr McGrath, who regularly appears as a pannelist on television shows such as They Think It's All Over,was questioned at Camborne police station.
The comedian, who grew up in Redruth and now lives in Cambridge, has had been bailed until July 5 while further inquiries are carried out.
At the time a spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed: "At around 10.15pm on Friday, May 10, 2013 police were called to a property in the Pool area, near Redruth, following a report that a man had assaulted a male and female couple, who it is understood, were attempting to assist this man who was heavily in drink.
"A man in his late 40s received a bloody nose and scratches to the face.
"A 57-year-old man from the Cambridge area was arrested for common assault and an assault causing actual bodily harm.
