The Met Office is warning of torrential downpours and thunderstorms, however with these expected to be isolated most places should escape a drenching.
The "Yellow Alert" is in place for the SW with the Met Office saying "Isolated thunderstorms today may lead to some local torrential downpours. The public should be aware of the risk of some disruption to transport through standing water."
The alert is valid from 1pm to 11pm this evening.
