A green fingered grower from Porthallow will be opening her garden gate on Sunday to welcome guests for a charity fundraiser.
Dorothy Pelling opens her garden to the public only once a year as a way to raise funds for Cancer research UK.
While Dorothy’s patch of paradise has won Best Garden in Kerrier in the past, much of her skill was self taught.
After leaving her job at the Ministry of Defence, Dorothy bought tea rooms in the village and set about creating a gorgeous garden setting.
Setting up with virtually no experience of baking or gardening, she learnt by immersing herself in books and magazines and by the greatest teacher of all, trial and error.
Entrance is priced at £2 for adults, with free entrance for children.
