A very enjoyable service was held on Sunday, being the Sunday School Anniversary.
The service was conducted by the young people, Quintin Dale led the service and the pianist was Shirley Mildren. Musical, recitation, Bible readings, piano and guitar solos were rendered by the scholars. The congregation were all given a leaf and a pencil and were asked to write a prayer, which were then pinned onto two prayers trees. Those that wanted their prayers read out were read by Tracie Haslam. All the hymns from Junior Praise were chosen by the scholars and the teachers. Tracie Haslam read the notices and the Haslam family welcomed the congregation at the door. Flowers were provided by Maureen Dale.
Gifts of a card and chocolate were given to all the men in the congregation as it was Father’s Day.”
