There was a study day on Saturday led by Tecwyn Morgan from Castle Bromwich. He is the retired Director of the Valuation Office Agency and author of books and pamphlets on Bible subjects. He is Editor of the Glad Tidings magazine and is about to travel to America to speak at two Bible schools. Tecwyn led two studies, the first was looking at the prophecies of Jesus concerning future events in the world and about His return. He continued the study in Luke 21 and from the Old Testament and the need to be watchful and to study God’s word concerning the events in the world which were prophesied.

On Sunday president, Bob Muxlow, welcomed visitors from Malvern, Penzance, Leamington, Cannock, Amersham, and Brisbane, Australia. After giving the morning exhortation at Penzance meeting, Tecwyn returned to Porthleven and used the daily reading from l John chapter l and talked about the purity of God and how He looks for perfection, which was found in Jesus, but understands our frailties. We need to keep His commands, love one another and believe in God’s promises.

In the evening Tecwyn looked at the state of the world’s increasing debt but referred to the debt of sin we can never repay but which God writes off as we forgive others. We have every opportunity to read His word and grow in our love for one another.

The recent coffee morning for the Air Ambulance raised £175.
