Sunday's service for the third Sunday after Trinity was taken by Father Harry Pugh.
The first lesson and the Psalm were read by Maureen Williams, the second lesson by Phyllis Whiting and the Rev Judy Harris led the intercessions. Andrew Woods played the piano.
This week's services will be on Thursday at 10am (holy eucharist) and Sunday at 9.30am (solemn eucharist). Choir practice will be on Wednesday at 7.15pm.
The church decoration has now been completed. The scaffolding will be dismantled early this week revealing the newly painted ceiling which has been hidden above scaffolding boards! The work has meant that the church is now in need of a good clean and anyone able to help with the cleaning is asked to contact Yvonne Bellinger.
The quiz "know your street in Porthleven" is still available from Maureen Williams and proceeds from this will go to the decoration fund. The winner of the quiz will receive £5.
A new book by Tony Treglown "Porthleven in years gone by - the Parish Church" will be available shortly. There will be copies on sale in church at £6.99. All profits for church funds.
