The weather wasn’t very kind to Father’s Day, but Canon David Miller began parish communion with warm good wishes to all involved in fathering.
Canon David presided at communion, assisted by Betty Booker, lay reader, with David Maddock reading the lesson and Andrew “Jake” Holyer leading the prayers.
The Rev Dorothy Noakes preached on the profound implications of an incident in Luke’s Gospel when Jesus, a guest at dinner, had His feet washed with the tears of a woman known to be a great sinner. Jesus saw her repentance and offered forgiveness, as He continues to do to those who have faith in Him.
