UPDATE: Simon has been found safe and well in Portreath.

A missing Dorset man has been spotted in Portreath and Redruth area and police are asking for the public's help.

A police spokesman said that enquires have established that Simon Evans may have been in the Portreath and Redruth areas of Cornwall yesterday evening.

Officers are calling for the public’s help to find Mr Evans and are asking people, particularly in Cornwall, to look out for him.

It is thought that he is driving a black SAAB 9-5 Vector car, registration number VO11 YBB, and anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to contact police.

Anyone with any information as to Simon’s whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 18:126 or if seen in Devon or Cornwall 0195 180613.

Simon Evans is 42-years-old and was last seen at his home address Lyme Regis at 7.30am today, Tuesday, June 18 

Chief Inspector Debbie Marsden, of Dorset Police, said: “He has recently been very upset and his whole family are extremely concerned about him and want to make sure he is alright.

“I urge Simon to let know to let either the police or his family know that he is safe and well as soon as possible.

Simon is described as six feet four inches tall, of stocky build with dark hair and a short beard. He sometimes wears glasses, mostly for driving and reading. It is believed that he is wearing blue jeans, a grey Weird Fish top and a brown jacket.

Chief Inspector Debbie Marsden continued: “If anyone sees Simon or knows of his whereabouts please contact us urgently on 101.”
