Pupils from the Teresa Blee Dance School, which was established in Helston 25-years-ago, have recently started a new venture, setting up a performance group which is open to all ages and abilities.

The group meet once a week to share ideas and their love of dance with each other and will soon be showing off their work to the community. The idea is that the children use their own ideas as much as possible to create a dance routine with guidance from the teacher.

One of the teachers, Miss Debbie, said: “It’s been lovely to watch the children supporting each other and sharing ideas. They are really working as a team now. We are very excited to be taking our dances to local events and hope our audiences enjoy our performances.”

They will be performing at the Motor Show at Wendron Cricket Club, at 1pm on June 30, at Godolphin House Village Fete on July 6 at 1.30pm and at Parc Eglos School Summer Fayre on July 12 at 4.15pm. The performance will also feature modern/jazz and ballet.
