Service personnel have marched through the centre of Helston as the town and base came together to enjoy the Freedom of Helston Parade.
Service personel from the base have the privilege to march through the streets “with swords drawn, bayonets fixed, drums beating, bands playing and colours flying.”
HMS Seahawk was granted Freedom of the Borough of Helston in 1958, and the air station exercised the right on Wednesday, with the mayor of Helston, Councillor Jonathan Radford-Gaby taking the salute accompanied by the Captain Mark Garratt Commanding Officer of RNAS Culdrose and members of the town council.
