Cocaine with an estimated street value of £20 million has been discovered on a yacht in Newlyn.
A Border Force spokesman described it as a “substantial quantity”, estimated to weight approximately 200 kilos.
It was found following a search of the yacht Windrose, the same boat from which a 62-year-old Dutch man fell to his death in St Mary’s Harbour on the Isles of Scilly on Monday.
The Border Force spokesman added: “It is estimated that if cut and sold in the UK the drugs could have had a potential street value of around £20 million.
“The drugs have now been removed from the Windrose and taken to a secure location for further analysis. An investigation is ongoing.”
