An evening of fun and games proved a knockout success for members of Helston and St Keverne Young Farmers’ Club last Saturday.
The club hosted an It’s a Knockout competition at Trengilly Farm near Constantine, in the evening of Constantine Show.
A total of five young farmers’ teams entered: two from Helston, two from Probus and one from St Buryan.
They were challenged to seven races and games, including a crate race, greasy pole and ‘Billy Bunter’ race, a type of relay in which competitors were forced to eat unusual food items as quickly as possible.
A team from Probus Young Farmers’ Club were ultimately the winners of the competition, which was followed by a fundraising disco and barbecue held in a marquee at the field. The amount raised is not yet known.
