The children of Crypt |Pre-School in Falmouth enjoyed a day of sport, fun and games in the sunshine and helped raise more than £1,100 recently.

The pre-school’s summer fair was held on the same day as the children’s sports day which saw the youngsters compete in five races in the morning ahead of the toddler and mum race in the afternoon.

The summer fair followed with the children and adults enjoying hot dogs, a tombola, raffle, a lucky dip and face painting. “It went really well,” said the pre-school’s Catherine Evans. “The sports day really brought all the parents out in the morning and they all stayed into the afternoon.

“It was a fantastic turn-out and was probably one of the best we have ever had. Great |thanks go to the committee for organising it all – they did a |fantastic job.”

The money raised will be spent on the children and/or new resources as and when it is required.
