More than £500 was raised at Cury Methodist Church last Thursday when the congregation held its annual Cream Tea and Great Cake Bake for St Julia’s Hospice Care.
The afternoon was well attended, with children from Cury Church of England School taking part and entertaining visitors with their singing.
The afternoon was organised by Don and Fran Bettle.
Members and friends of the chapel helped to serve the teas and run various stalls and games.
Brenda Lawrance, from the chapel, said: “Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this afternoon such a success and also to all who attended.”
