UPDATE: A shire horse that collapsed at Camborne Show on Saturday has since died.

The horse, Lincoln, collapsed again on Saturday night and its owners say it died on Sunday morning.

Paula and David Udy said that they were "overwhelmed"  by the help are kindness they received and grateful to everyone that helped, including vets and the fire service alongside the show committee.

A crane had to be called to help lift the horse back onto its feet after it collapsed at Camborne Show  just after 4.30pm on Saturday.

A Fire Service spokesman said that one fire appliance and the line rescue tender from Camborne Fire Station "attended a request to assist a horse that had collapsed and was in danger of losing its life".

Firefighters used a vehicle-mounted crane to lift the horse to its feet, under the supervision of a vet.

After nearly an hour the firefighters were successful.
