One evacuated as Redruth building gutted in arson attack
A nearby home had to be evacuated after a garage in Redruth was damaged in a suspected arson attack this morning.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service say they received numerous calls to a building on fire at the rear of Sea View Terrace, Redruth just before 3am this morning .
A spokesman said that on arrival the crews found the building ablaze and crews from Camborne, Redruth, Helston and Falmouth attended with the Command Support Vehicle from St Just.
One main jet, two hosereels, a thermal image camera and small gear were all used to extinguish the fire in the single storey 10m x 3m garage.
One persons was evacuated from an adjacent building for safety.
