Maritime Museum needs your vote for prestigious British Travel Awards

Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum Cornwall needs your vote after being named as one of the top three best UK heritage attractions and making it on the shortlist for the British Travel Awards (BTA).
The multi-award winning Maritime Museum is up against Edinburgh Castle and Titanic Belfast and needs as many people as possible to visit www.vote4cornwall.com and cast their vote.
Jonathan Griffin, museum director, said: “As an independent museum which receives no regular government funding it is wonderful to get national recognition such as this. There is no denying the competition is tough but with the backing of the whole of Cornwall we hope we can bring home the top prize.”
BTA’s chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: “National Maritime Museum Cornwall is to be congratulated on reaching the finals. The largest consumer voted awards programme in the UK, the BTAs are designed to reward the best companies in travel, and the winning accolade is the benchmark for excellence when it comes to finding out who really is the best in the business of travel for the UK consumer.”
Voting closes at the end of September and the winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony on October 31 at the Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park, London.
