Helicopter scrambled over boiling water assault claim in St Keverne

Police officers and a search and rescue helicopter were scrambled to St Keverne |on Friday evening following |allegations of boiling water being thrown in a man’s face.
Officers could be seen in the village just after 8.30pm, although rumours on Facebook that they were “armed response” officers were unfounded.
A search and rescue |helicopter from RNAS Culdrose could also be spotted flying overhead, ready to fly the casualty to Bristol’s Frenchay Hospital where there is a specialist burns unit, but this was subsequently stood down.
A police spokesman said a man sustained “minor |blistering” and was treated by ambulance staff.
A 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion |of assault and was later released on police bail until August 23.
A 28-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of growing cannabis plants and subsequently released on police bail until October 18.
