Callestick Farm to launch charity ice cream flavour
7:30am Sunday 11th August 2013 in News
Ice cream lovers can now feel good about eating their favourite frozen treat thanks to Callestick Farm launching a charity flavour.
Do Your Bit Blackcurrant, a clotted cream and blackcurrant flavoured ice cream, will raise money for CLIC Sargent.
The company will donate 10p from every ice cream sold from August 24, with participating sellers donating a further 10p per scoop and customers are asked to do the same.
Stephanie Cherington-Rimmell, Cornwall fundraising manager at CLIC Sargent, said: “We are thrilled that Callestick Farm are showing their support with this fabulous ice cream flavour. Matching our logo colours, we hope everyone will choose this fruity ice cream with its delicious swirls of deep purple blackcurrants.”
Callestick is launching its Fabulously Fruity Fundraiser campaign by inviting some of the families supported by the charity for a tour and taste day.
Do your Bit Blackcurrant is available directly from Callestick Farm as well as many other outlets including Castle Beach Café Falmouth, Classic Airforce, Fowey Fudge, Gook Beach Café, Keepsakes Penzance, Loe Beach Café, Looe Beach Café, Polpeor Café, Polperro Ice Cream, Swanpool Beach Cafe and Tremenheere Gardens.
For more information about where to find the flavour visit the Callestick Farm website for a full list of participating outlets or the Facebook site www.facebook.com/clicsargentsouthwest.
Angela Parker, director at Callestick Farm, said: “We are thrilled to be able to play a part in helping to raise some money for this extremely worthy cause. Of course it is not just us, our scooping customers have come up trumps too by offering to match our donation; we are lucky to have such a great customer base behind us to help us make this campaign work.”
