Free family fun day at Truro Cathedral
10:00am Tuesday 13th August 2013 in News
Blow away the cobwebs, forget the weather and gloomy economic outlooks and enjoy a free family fun day at Truro Cathedral on Thursday.
Last years family fun day was supposed to be outside on the Cathedral Green, but the weather put paid to that and the event was moved inside.
Organisers say that this proved to be a blessing in disguise, as children and families enjoyed the fun filled atmosphere created by being in the Cathedral, and the fact that they stayed dry.
The Mothers’ Union who organise the event also enjoyed it so much that they are staying indoors for this year’s one on Thursday, August 15 from 11am – 3pm.
Children and families can expect free activities include: Bouncy castle, fishing for ducks, brass rubbing, children’s craft activities, giant Jenga, Connect 4, floor draughts, dressing upand dress parade, story telling, tenpenny tombola, various children’s trails, marblylympics, snakes and ladders, splat the rat, garden games and story telling.
Refreshments will also be available.
