A390 reopens after tree cleared from road

The A390 at Grampound has reopened after a tree brought down in a car crash has been cleared from the road.
Firefighters were called out just before 6am this morning after receiving a call from police that a casualty was trapped in a vehicle following a crash.
A fire and rescue service spokesman said that appliances from Truro and St. Austell and the rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised.
Adding: "On arrival it was confirmed that fortunately no persons were trapped, the vehicle had been in a collision with a large tree blocking the road, Westcountry Ambulance were in attendance and treated one casualty. The road was completely blocked."
