A former Porthleven schoolgirl now performing in the West End is sharing her talents by hosting a |one-night-only charity stage show with her Cornish theatre group.

Taking to the boards will be the Don’t Stop Believing Entertainment Group (DSB), founded by Claire-Louise Auguste in the summer of 2011 with the aim of keeping live music and theatre alive in the county while helping others. This was followed by the DSBeebies group of children aged four to 16.

They will all be performing in Musicality 2013 - The Regal Years, taking audiences on a journey through the years of music and theatre with songs from the Sound of Music, Les Miserables and Copacabana through to 1930s Glenn Miller and the more contemporary Queen.

Held at the recently refurbished Regal Theatre in Redruth, it will take place on Saturday, August 24 with a matinee at 3pm followed by an evening performance at 7pm.

The 21-year-old performer, pictured, said: “Having undertaken my first West End ‘gig’ in London’s Soho I am so proud to have DSB making their Cornish ‘West End’ debut at The Regal Theatre.”

The production will support the charities Children’s Hospice South West, CLIC Sargent for Children with Cancer and The Phoenix Stroke Appeal.
