4:00pm Monday 2nd September 2013 in News
Firefighters were called out to Budock Water near Falmouth yesterday evening after reports of a horse stuck in a bog.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call just after 9pm, with the owner reporting that the horse had been "stuck for some time".
A crew from Falmouth attended the incident and used shovels, sand lances and ropes to release the horse.
A spokesman said: "The rescue was difficult and took about three hours.
"A vet was in attendance and the crew remained on scene for some time to assist after the horse was released."
