There is still time to enter the various events that make up Helston Harvest Fair this weekend.

These include Saturday’s pet show at the Epworth Hall at 10am and dog show at Events Square at 1pm.

In particular, entries are sought for this year’s carnival, which will gather at Helston Football Club.

There is access to the ground from 1pm, to allow floats to be built or finished off, with judging then taking place at 4pm and the parade leaving the ground at 5pm.

It will turn right onto Clodgey Lane, left onto Trengrouse Way and then right again onto Meneage Street, making its way through the town into Coinagehall Street.

At the bottom the procession will turn around at the Gryll’s Monument before heading back up the street into Wendron Street and Godolphin Road, to the roundabout, where it will turn right again into Clodgey Lane and head back to the football club.

Entrants should take with them their registration form and any evidence of public liability and insurance required, with enquiries in advance to Emma Wooderson on 07966 976068.

People can also enter this Sunday’s harvest fair horticultural show, which takes place at the Old Cattle Market.

Entries can then been viewed by the general public from 1pm, with prize giving at 4.30pm.

Entry forms for all events can be found in the fair programme, which can be picked up from various shops in the town including Heathercraft.
