A man from Praa Sands has received a twelve month conditional discharge after admitting housing benefit fraud totalling £1,696.60.
Andrew Spain (47) of Praa Sands Holiday Village, Praa Sands, pleaded guilty at Truro Magistrates Court on Friday 06 September 2013 to two counts of fraud, one of making an article intending the article to be used to commit or assist in the commission of fraud contrary to Section 7 of the Fraud Act 2006, and one of dishonestly making false representations contrary to Sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
Mr Spain was also ordered to pay £350 contribution towards the Council’s investigation and legal costs and a victim surcharge of £15.
