Two solicitor firms from Penzance are taking part in next month’s Will for Wildlife scheme.

This offers people the chance to make a new will or update an existing will for free during October, while supporting the Cornwall Wildlife Trust at the same time.

With most wills costing around £80 to £120 to create, this is a substantial saving.

Taking part in Penzance will be Teresa Blenard of Furse Sanders Solicitors in Morrab Road and Justin Thomas of DB Law in Alverton Street.

The idea is that when creating or updating their will people might, once they have taken care of family and friends, consider leaving a legacy gift to Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

A spokesperson for the trust said: “It is so important that we don't take our wonderful countryside for granted, and to ensure that future generations are able to continue enjoying everything that we love and appreciate about Cornwall and its wildlife. This is why leaving a legacy is so important.”

Money from legacies has been used for all manner of wildlife conservation work, from education projects to vital habitat restoration work. To book an appointment during Will for Wildlife month contact the solicitor direct. Appointments must be made during October 2013 and when booking an appointment you must state that you are a Cornwall Wildlife Trust supporter, although you do not need to be a member.

This offer is for simple and straightforward wills only and there are only a limited number of free wills available.

Other solicitors taking part in Cornwall include Maxine Barnes of Furse Sanders Solicitors, Katrina Granville of Carlyon & Son in Truro, Phil Lear of DB Law in Camborne, Kay Theodore of Furse Sanders Solicitors in Hayle and Kimberley Bartle of Furse Sanders Solicitors in Helston.
